What’s it like to work at TLG?
An award-winning culture
By working at TLG, you'll be part of an organisation that's been recognised nationally as an exceptional place to work. In 2019, we were named as the best charity to work for in the UK in the prestigious Sunday Times Best Not-for-Profit Organisations to Work For. The award was presented in acknowledgement of TLG's outstanding leadership and the emphasis we put on team culture and wellbeing.
What unites us
We’re a lively and cheerful bunch, passionate about our mission to help churches bring a hope and a future to children and families! We're united by our Christian faith, which is central to everything we do as an organisation. We often talk about the TLG team being like a family and because we really care about what we do, we work hard.
To love TLG like we do, you need to like the way we do things here – putting children and families first, giving it your all and keeping a smile on your face even when you’re rushed off your feet. Things move fast, so you’ll need bags of energy and plenty of ‘can do’! Having fun and enjoying time together along the way is essential: whether that’s fancy dress, TLG Sports Day or our annual staff awards dinners. Plus, you'll play a crucial part in our vibrant Christian culture where we regularly pray and interact with churches up and down the UK. You'll be joining the latest chapter of our exciting, unfolding story. Since day one, we've been an organisation passionate about using our Christian faith to bring hope and a future to children and families.

What we look for
We believe that we can grow and develop skills and potential in our staff, and so when we’re recruiting we’re more interested in your character, attitude and whether you can thrive in our culture.
We ALWAYS look for upbeat, enthusiastic & committed individuals, who work hard but also like to have fun, using common sense, initiative, and their vibrant Christian faith. There are also things we NEVER want to see: a don’t care attitude, negativity, doing things for show, blaming others, and not taking responsibility.
Are you getting the idea of what it is that makes working for TLG so special? If you like the sound of this - then TLG could well be the place for you!
