A new year message especially for you

At TLG, we are so grateful for the support we received throughout 2019 and we are really excited for what lies ahead in 2020. We wanted to share that excitement, so we recorded a New Year message especially for you.

Tim Morfin, Founder and Chief Executive:
‘Happy New Year! We just wanted to say from everyone at TLG a massive, massive thank you to you for your personal support, enabling us to transform lives for good. This past year, our 20th year, was amazing. Most significantly, children’s lives were changed by your help, so thank you so much.’
Sian Wrangles, Director of National Development:
‘We’re so grateful for all that you do in your partnership with TLG. Whether you’re giving, whether you’re volunteering, whether you’re praying for us or involved in the myriad of other ways people support this work and make it happen. Thank you so much for what you are making possible. We hope you are really encouraged to know that over the last 12 months, through our partnerships, we have together helped over 5000 individual children’s lives. Children who have been in crisis, who really needed someone to get alongside them. Through your support that has been possible and has been happening through over 200 churches right the way throughout the UK. Even as we have all been celebrating Christmas, there have been churches right across the holidays who have been providing food for vulnerable children and their families through Make Lunch clubs. Thank you so much for everything that you do to make that possible, we’re so grateful.’
Rae Morfin, Head of Therapeutic Practice:
‘We really are and we just champion church. We’re just so keen that we can partner together to get close to those that really need it. Just thinking about one child who was in school and so overwhelmed, he wasn’t able to connect and was sitting under the table feeling just like there was nothing that could happen and nothing that could help. Then along came an Early Intervention coach, Pat, who sat next to him under the table. Pat had sessions with him where she would just sit, be with him and connect with him. Slowly he was able to talk, able to connect with her and able to share. He came out from under the table able to interact with others and slowly build confidence. Isn’t that amazing? Isn’t that volunteer amazing? We’re so grateful for all our volunteers and we’re so grateful that you enable that to happen. Thank you.’

‘We’re so excited for 2020. We are pressing on to open two more Education Centres, 30 more Early Intervention centres and 30 more Make Lunch clubs all across the country that will enable 800 more children to be helped. On behalf of every one of them we just want to say a massive, massive thank you to you and wish you a really, really great 2020.’
