Over 150 churches across the UK have now partnered with TLG in becoming Early Intervention centres! Lis, Early Intervention Coordinator in South Wales, shares a little of how The Bridge Church in Chepstow came to partner with TLG, and the incredible work they have been doing in their community ever since.

Jasmine graduated from The University of Sheffield in the summer of 2019, and has been working for TLG since. She's worked within the Volunteer Programmes and Supporter Relations teams, and is now serving TLG within Comms and Influence. A lover of the outdoors and cooking, she is passionate about seeing the local church in action to support the most vulnerable in society.

TLG joins call for support for the church and charity sector

Tribute to Martin Flatman

Tim Morfin is the founder and Chief Executive of TLG. Tim, together with a group of other volunteers from a local church, began TLG by helping young people struggling in school in Bradford. He now leads the organisation nationally, still committed to bringing hope and a future to children and their families. He is married to Rachel and has three teenage sons.

Before coming to TLG, Beth worked as a Fundraising Project Manager for poverty-relief charity Christians Against Poverty. Beth also has expansive experience in the political sector. Beth is a season ticket holder at Huddersfield Town and enjoys hiking through the Yorkshire countryside followed by a local ale in the pub.

Learning to walk tall

Frankie struggled to make friends, felt very isolated and her confidence was low. When she first met with her Early Intervention coach, Kate, she wasn’t even sure if she could trust her. However, over time Frankie opened up to Kate and her confidence grew and grew. Kate tells her side of the story.

A story of second chances

Jaiden struggled with school, was regularly excluded and constantly battled with his emotions. However, when he was given a chance at one of TLG’s Education Centres he was determined to make the most of it. James, Jaiden’s Headteacher during his time with TLG, tells his side of the story.

James is the Headteacher at one of TLG's Education Centres. He is married with 2 young children. He began his teaching career as a primary school teacher in Stoke-on-Trent and has been at TLG since 2016!
